6 Awesome Gadgets from CES

CES, or the Consumer Electronics Show, is an annual electronics trade show that has been running for 48 years. It is a haven for professionals and companies to get the inside scoop on technological innovations of the year, and things that are being made in the near future. This year’s show was held, as always, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It featured technological devices of all functionalities. Below, I have listed 6 of my favorites.

Polaroid Zip

This is a small device that can connect to your smartphone to print out pictures on the spot. Polaroid was inspired by FujiFilm’s Instax printer with this product, and it has become widely popular. The Polaroid Zip boasts about being able to print pictures on a smartphone or nearby device in 60 seconds or less. The pictures this device produces are in full color, made without ink or toner.

Glagla Digitsole

The Glagla Digitsole doubles as a heated insole and a fitness tracker. It is is rechargeable, via a USB connection and uses bluetooth for its fitness tracking. The insole is water-resistant, and you are able to control the heat through your smartphone.

Sony SmartEyeglass Attach

Sony has followed Google in its making of a technological attachment to your glasses. This device was designed mainly with fitness in mind. It is supposed to help runners find routes and navigate in cities with which they are unfamiliar. It is waterproof and allows for athletes to do away with the GPS on their cell phones for a more flawless approach.

Quell

As the succinct name suggests, this product helps lessen pain. It is meant to be used by people with chronic pain. Painkiller addiction is a real problem for anyone with chronic pain, so the makers of Quell came up with a product that can help with pain without the pills. All it needs is 15 minutes to stop pain from a myriad of maladies.

Force Impact Technologies FitGuard

A lot of controversy has arisen recently surrounding football and head injuries, so this company decided to do something about it. This product is a mouthguard that has the ability to measure the number and intensity of impact through an application. This device has the ability to completely revolutionize the football industry.

Muse Brain Headband

This device measures brain waves during meditation, and is meant to help in meditation practice. It is connected to an app, and reports that it can help people become more mindful in their meditative practices. It translates the data from your brainwaves into weather sounds to remind your mind not to wander.
