Amazon , once holding a monopoly over the online marketplace, is now slowly losing business in 2017 to a large gamut of companies following in their footsteps.  These companies now offer most of their products online, as well as in stores, for people to have more options.  What’s more is that brick and mortar stores can, at times, run out of products shoppers wish to obtain. One such company that is particularly making a name for itself is Walmart .  Business Insider noted that Walmart now seems to be Amazon’s number one competitor.  In the battle for stealing business from Amazon, Google and Walmart have partnered up . Walmart has a patent in for a floating distribution center . And, online buyers are taking notice, helping Walmart to be neck-in-neck with Amazon in the stock market . To take it to the next level, Walmart acquired Jet.com , exploding their reach and revenue. This massive move has helped Walmart increase the number of products shipped by 6...

6 Entrepreneurial Character Traits that Entrepreneurs Should Look for in Employees

These character traits are typical of an entrepreneur. They are not exclusive to entrepreneurs, however, and are important to look out for in employees that entrepreneurs hire. If a person exhibits these character traits, he/she will absolutely succeed in his/her career, no matter what it is. Innovative This kind of person is always trying to be on the brink of something fabulous. The keyword here is, “trying.” He/she may not always have a new idea, but he/she is aware of opportunities for improvement when he/she sees it. A company does well when its employees are coming up with ways to standardize processes and constructively fix what doesn’t work. Innovative people are coming up with something new every chance they can get. Determined Someone who is determined is willing to take risks to his/her own personal comfort. Small Banks and FinTech

The financial technology, or FinTech, industry has been spreading over the course of the past decade, and it is only getting bigger. Using technology to organize and control finance used to be just an idea, but is now used by big banks and Wall Street firms. Banks have even begun investing in FinTech startups in order to get ahead of competitors, by receiving the latest innovative product before anybody else. Unfortunately, this explosion of FinTech in big banks and investment firms has made smaller companies struggle. However, that is beginning to change. Startup companies focused on FinTech are now seeking out smaller community banks that are thinking about going national. The banks want to become relevant in the digital age, and the startup companies want more business. Technically, this arrangement works for everyone. It is also arriving at a time in which the Federal Reserve is making decisions that will detrimentally affect small banks. The Federal Reserve wants to work on ...
